Had the SK140 on site last week, first time with the series 7 cab. The visibility was solid, and the joystick and seat adjustments were easy - had to share the rig with a bigger guy one day and he got his setup quick, too. The dash layout is fine, but the little picto things on the display are kind of small, real easy to miss. Liked the foot pedals though, they feel natural, don’t fight with your boots. Can’t say there’s anything wild about how it digs - it’s stable, even pushing it hard. Couple small things: the wipers are kind of a letdown, only one, and the armrest safety lock needs getting used to. Haven’t had any issues with breakdowns so far, maintenance looks simple enough. Been running all week, no big complaints.

I spent quite a few hours in the SK140 and the first thing that hit me was the cab setup, it's way above what I’m used to. Loads of adjustments for seat and controls, even with my height I felt comfy. The screen and all the cameras are really handy, even though that display could use bigger icons - bit annoying squinting to pick the right thing. The foot pedals are super comfy, they actually thought about foot shape it feels like. I do wish they added a backup start system, you only start it through the main control. All in all, cab’s top notch but minor stuff could easily be fixed.

My main thing with the SK140 is the cab. Spent full days in it and it’s just comfortable as hell honestly. Cooling system’s easy to access, big doors, and you don’t have to hassle to reach anything for daily checks. I do wish the main screen made some info bigger - the indicators are small when making changes, it’s kind of a pain if your eyes aren’t the best. Noise in the cab is way down from what I remember on older models. Wish the right-side wiper was standard (it’s not). Tracks feel smooth, bumps are less rough than my last machine, and it holds a line decent on travel. Price is about what you’d expect. Wouldn’t mind a heavier boom for some jobs, but it’s no deal breaker. I’d run this for big foundation digs or anything in tight space.

Working with the Kobelco SK60 has shown me its balance of compactness and reach. The modified tracks enable operations in challenging environments, ensuring remarkable traction. Although it lacks certain modern features due to its age, its reliability compensates for this. Maintenance plays a key role, so ensure regular service intervals are met. It's a machine that gets the job done.

Been running the SK140-7 for about three weeks now. First thing I noticed was how much faster the dig cycle is. You really feel that boost in breakout force too, gets through hard ground without too much effort. Layout of everything under the hood is dead simple, haven’t had to contort myself for a filter change yet, which I got to say is a nice change from older machines I used. Not crazy about the digital controls at first, took a few days to get used to that touchscreen. Wish the camera system didn’t need so many clicks to change the view though. Cab’s decent, plenty of room, seat’s comfy enough. Price was a bit higher than what I was hoping for but that’s everything these days.

Not gonna lie, the system for limiting boom height and stick swing is pretty clever, saved my bacon working under some tight structures. You get angle sensors, so you don't bash the cab, but it's not the fully guided 2D system so you'll need to mark depth yourself each cycle, which slows you. The menus are simple enough, but the adjustment sliders show up small on the screen so takes a second to see what's going on. But all the safety stuff kicks in automatically so that's nice. Overall I had a few small gripes but feels like they really improved things over the last gen model.

Had the chance to operate the SK60 for an extended project. The controls are straightforward and perform smoothly. It's equipped with a reliable cooling system, which is a nice plus. The cabin ergonomics are acceptable, although it could use improved noise insulation. Overall, it handled the tasks efficiently, albeit with room for enhanced comfort.
